Mirage

The Mirage is a 3,044 room hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip. The Mirage was built by developer Steve Wynn and designed by Joel Bergman, and it’s a “palace of delights in the heart of Las Vegas” that opened in November 1989. Its construction is considered noteworthy in that Wynn had set a new standard for Vegas resorts, and is widely considered to be the “father” of today’s Las Vegas. The Mirage also has 90,000 square feet of convention space as well.

Upon entering the front desk for registration, guests will be taken aback by the 20,000-gallon saltwater aquarium behind the desk, that has an impressive array of coral reef fish. There’s also a glass ceiling that overlooks a large selection of tropical plants that greet you once you walk in the door, so the fresh-air/vibe of the Mirage can be liberating. Visitors can also check out Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat, where you can see bottlenose dolphins swimming around, as well as lions, tigers and leopards.

When it comes to open space, nature, good vibes, and top-notch entertainment (including Cirque Du Soleil’s production of The Beatles’ Love), you can’t go wrong with The Mirage.
